Florida Teacher Blog Hop- It's like a Mini-Vacay Plus Giveaway

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Enjoy yourself as you take a tour around our wonderful {and large!} state! Grab some freebies along the way, and be sure to enter to win our Bundles of Sunshine!
I'm Bridget from Hardcore Teacher Resources, and if this is your first stop at my blog, WELCOME! If you've been here before "OH HEY!"

Originally from Dayton, Oh I moved to West Palm Beach, Fl after trekking through the snow one too many times to class at Ohio State.

I live about an hour and some change north of Miami, 45 from Ft. Lauderdale and I have easy access to the beach (which can be crucial after a tough day at work).

Also a place I like to go to relax and have a craft beer is Das Biergarten in Jupiter. My boyfriend is a part owner and yours truly did the chalk board! We like to go for Trivia and ChariTuesdays! They choose a charity and give a portion of the sales to the charity, plus raffles, etc. It's super fun! Prost! :)

One of my favorite places to eat in the world is YuMi Sushi. It's a little hole-in-the-wall spot that my boyfriend took me to on our first date. The Tokyo Love Story Roll (pictured bottom right) is serious. Let me tell you, we went on our first date over five years ago that's how good this sushi roll is (okay, it doesn't hurt that he's fabulous too). We pretty much don't go anywhere else for sushi. It's small. The service is sassy. The food is incredible.
I always take guests here when they are in town!

Another favorite spot is Shoppe561! This shop features local Florida artisans! It's the perfect store for unique gifts. The owner is super sweet and donates a portion of her sales each month to Hope House, which helps victims of human trafficking. She's sweet enough to sell my bracelets there. I also teach art classes there to kids for parties and on Saturdays!  Pictured below is from a Sail Into Summer party we did!

Other restaurants and places to see: The Breakers of Palm Beach, DADA in Delray Beach, Hullabaloo restaurant, Loggerhead Marine Life Center, and if you're into music Sunfest in the spring is a great deal!

Thanks for taking a mini-tour of my town! Be sure to follow my blog for Higher Order Thinking Ideas for Elementary and download this freebie from my shop!

  9. We don't get that far south often, but next time we do I want to check out Das Biergarten. We love craft beer (my boyfriend is a fantastic home brewer). Jupiter also hosts a big craft beer competition don't they?
